Address, chimney type and what you noticed. A short note is enough to start a written scope.
After the form comes in, we call back the same day. First we ask what kind of fireplace you have: masonry, factory-built or gas. Each one falls under a different section of NFPA 211 and the building code. Then we tell you what the visit will check and what it costs, using the figures on our pricing page. If the job needs a permit in West Carson or a nearby city, we say so on that call, not after the work is done. Escrow deadlines and insurance letters go to the front of the route, so mention a date if you have one.
